You combine hands-on engineering with structured project management and clear communication to drive technology forward.
At IQIP, you'll engineer solutions that shape the future of offshore and onshore installation, from concept and certification to on-site delivery. We work on large-scale, complex offshore and marine projects where innovation meets real-world impact. Our mix of engineering creativity and field deployment is rare and exciting. You'll see your designs come to life, working closely with production, engineering and project teams to deliver smart, sustainable solutions in challenging environments.
Design. Build. Innovate. Make an impact.
Your work
You work at the forefront of technology development, responsible for taking new ideas through the early stages of the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) scale. from TRL 1 to TRL 3 and driving them toward higher readiness levels within the organization.
Your work spans a broad technical spectrum: product development, prototyping, 3D modelling, sensor technology, materials science, metalworking, hydraulics, and digital technologies such as IoT, digital twins and AI/ML. You don't need to master all of these, but you are eager to develop across disciplines and comfortable operating in areas where answers don't yet exist.
Equally important is your ability to manage your projects effectively and communicate results clearly. You plan and structure the teams R&D work using iterative methods and stage-gate processes, and you present findings to both technical colleagues and business stakeholders in a way that drives decisions.
Your responsibilities
Research & Development
Conduct applied research at TRL 1–3: define research questions, design experiments, and validate fundamental principles
Design, build, and test prototypes to demonstrate proof of concept, using 3D modelling tools, production techniques, and hands-on experimentation
Work across domains including sensor technology, hydraulics, materials science, IoT, digital twins, and AI/ML applications
Monitor relevant scientific literature, patent landscapes, and industry developments and connect them with relevant internal topics.
Project Management
Plan and manage your R&D projects using iterative, breaking work into manageable phases with regular evaluation moments
Apply stage-gate processes to structure innovation and make go/no-go decisions at key milestones
Create realistic project timelines, identify technical risks early, and propose mitigation strategies
